[La Venidera / 2023]

Waiting for their judgment to decide their fate, the souls of the deceased wander through the depths of the Acheron River. This river, a harsh and dark place, will harbor all the souls that ever died on Earth for one hundred years. Only Charon, the ferryman, will offer them the chance to find their destiny.

Along the way, the flashes of light that the ferryman encounters will be the light that nourishes the greatest feeling of the travelers: hope.

This choreographic work is created by Albert Hernández (Principal Dancer of the National Ballet of Spain) and Irene Tena (Soloist of the National Ballet of Spain).

Together, they form the company La Venidera, which is known for incorporating a very contemporary language within Spanish dance in all their works. Their search for a unique movement that blends Spanish roots with the lines of contemporary dance results in a work full of originality and expressiveness.
